About
Carla Schlemminger brings 20 years of experience in strategic corporate marketing and branding across startups, emerging companies, and public enterprises in tech, financial services, and lifestyle sectors. As part of the management team at Niehaus Ryan Wong, a leading high-tech PR and branding agency during the dotcom era, she launched companies and products from the ground up. She later led global PR at MSCI Barra (now MSCI Inc.) and managed marketing communications at iRise, pioneering their content network during the rise of social media.
More recently, Carla has delved into corporate sustainability, inspired by nationally-acclaimed family winery J. Lohr and their commitment to sustainable growing, and business practices. In 2024, Carla completed the Climatebase Fellowship and joined Investature, a fintech startup focused on sustainable investing, as Head of Market Development. She’s also a Private Directors Association member and holds a corporate governance certificate from Harvard & The Decision Institute. Carla has also applied her expertise to nonprofits, including the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Red Cross.
